Step 1 | Motherboard

Be careful when separating the back cover from the phone, as it may cause cosmetic and internal damage.

  • Start by prying the back cover at the bottom corner of the phone using a plastic opening tool or the thin side of a spudger.

Remove the back cover to access internal components.

  • Use a Phillips 00 screwdriver to remove all visible screws.
  • Categorize screws by color:
    • (6 silver screws, circled in red)
    • (5 gold screws, circled in yellow)
    • (1 black screw, circled in blue)

Use a spudger to gently pry off the top plastic cover.

Remove the bottom plastic cover.

Ensure the motherboard is fully exposed.

  • Use the pointy side of the spudger to loosen all connectors from the motherboard.
  • Verify disconnection by referencing the provided picture.

Disconnect the smaller board from the motherboard using a spudger, taking care not to damage any connections.

  • The smaller board is held in place with small amounts of adhesive material.
  • Use the spudger to carefully pry the smaller board away from the motherboard.

Careful not to damage the left flex cable when removing it, as it is connected to the side.

  • Peel the left flex cable away from the side, taking care not to break it.
  • If necessary, gently bend the cable to facilitate removal.

Step 8

Locate the control board, attached to which are the two flex cables.

  • Ensure the flex cables are disconnected from their respective connectors.
  • Remove the control board for access to the bottom of the device.

Step 9

Remove the LCD connector with red wires.

  • Disconnect the Digitizer connector with yellow wires.
  • Remove and disconnect the antenna connections with green wires.

Use a Spudger to carefully pry up the motherboard, which is held in place by adhesive.

  • The motherboard can be removed for improved access.
  • Be aware that some components may be hidden from view once the motherboard is removed.

Step 11 | Speaker

Locate the speaker as shown in the figure.

  • Speaker removal: disconnect and remove the speaker from its mounting points.
