Using a Spudger or Guitar Pick, pry the plastic back off:
Note the location of clip claws on the back cover – these can be tough to break.
Consider releasing either the top or bottom short edge first, then working your way down the long edge to avoid increased clamping force.
Work on a well-lit, flat surface.
Be gentle when prying up the left and right middle edges to remove the back cover as shown in the photo, taking care not to damage the motherboard underneath the black cover.
Avoid damaging delicate components by prying with the black and white antenna cables.
Use a spudger or guitar pick to gently pry up the cable.
Use a plastic spudger to gently lift the two retaining clips.
The final connection is the camera module connector. Flip the cable upwards, allowing it to clear the path for the motherboard.
Be extremely cautious when lifting the motherboard as three of the four flex cables are situated near the top edge and one adjacent to the camera module.
Use a flat head screwdriver to pry up the camera module, being careful not to damage it further.
Keep the top of the camera clean of dust using an electronics duster spray as needed.
Clean the back and inside of the camera cover thoroughly to prevent dust from affecting photo quality.
