Use a fingernail to pry open the back cover at its hinge, located near the charging port.
Locate the battery in the battery bay.
Locate the screen bezel on your phone.
Careful not to damage the ribbon cable, use the plastic spudger tool to pry it off its connector.
Lift the motherboard by its edge with your finger.
Remove the security tape tabs by pulling on them.
Securing the cables with electrical tape is optional but helps prevent movement due to daily activities.
Remove the LCD cable from the phone.
Heat the LCD screen edges with a heat gun until adhesive melts.
Insert the ribbon cable into its corresponding slot on the other side of the phone.
Now you are prepared to install a functional replacement LCD screen.
Replace existing Digitizer if you have a full LCD and Digitizer assembly.
