LG G2 mini LTE Front Facing Camera Replacement

Step 1 | Remove the Battery Cover

Insert a fingernail into the crease between the back cover and the charging port.

Gently pry upward to avoid damaging the surrounding components.

The back cover should come loose and remove easily.

Step 2 | Remove the Battery

Locate the battery bay's lower end and pry out the battery using a fingernail.

  • Pry at the groove in the lower end of the battery bay.
  • The battery should release with gentle pressure.

Step 3 | Unscrew the Motherboard Cover

  • Count and locate all 10 Philips head screws.
  • Remove each screw using a Phillips head screwdriver.

Step 4 | Remove the Motherboard Cover

Insert plastic spudger between cover and phone.

  • Pry device around entire edge, spacing apart about 1 cm.
  • Continue prying until cover separates fully from phone.

Step 5 | Remove the Front Facing Camera

Locate the front facing camera.

  • Pry the ribbon cable off its connector using a plastic spudger tool or flat head screwdriver.
  • Remove the camera with your finger.
