LG G Vista Charging Dock Replacement

To replace the charging dock on an LG G Vista, gather a spudger and a pair of tweezers.

Step 1 | Battery

Ensure the device is switched completely off.

Use a plastic spudger to carefully pry open the case of the device, starting at the charging port.

Locate the small notch at the base of the battery.

  • Pry the battery upward from the notch using a flathead tool or credit card.

  • Remove all eleven 3.0 mm screws around the phone's edge using a Phillips #000 screwdriver.

Lift the hard shell using a plastic spudger or your fingertip.

Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the five 3.0 mm screws.

  • Remove the bottom hard shell.

Remove the two screws from the device using a Phillips #000 screwdriver.

Use a tweezers to lift up both antennas located near the battery.

Release the two right-side charging port connectors.

  • Push the first connector towards you until it clicks out.
  • Repeat for the second connector, pushing it towards you and releasing it.

Step 10

Use a plastic opening tool to lift the charging port.

  • Hold the tool firmly and pry the port upward.
  • The charging port should now be removable.
