Remove the 4 Phillips 00 screws holding the speaker assembly in place.
Insert a small flathead screwdriver between the speaker assembly and the rear housing.
Use gentle pressure to avoid damaging components.
Remove the six screws holding the plastic frame to the back housing.
Be careful not to damage the phone's casing.
The following components require replacement:
Disconnect the charging port flex from its connector.
Release the headphone jack flex cable from its connector.
Tear-prone flex cables require utmost care.
Both cables are prone to tearing with excessive force.
Lift the motherboard away from the housing.
Be careful not to snag any of the antennae or flex cables during this process.
Take care not to damage the flex cable during screen removal.
Be aware that strong adhesive holds the digitizer to the bezel. This will be damaged when removing the old digitizer.
Replace with a new digitizer secured using double-sided tape or epoxy for added stability.
Insert a flathead screwdriver or black plastic spudger between the top of the ear speaker and housing.
Use a spudger or small flathead screwdriver to gently pry the front camera out of its socket.
