LG Enact Screen Replacement

When handling the shattered glass screen, be aware of the risk of injury.

  • Ensure your device is powered off completely.
  • Fully power down and unplug the phone for safety.

Step 1 | Battery

Use an iFixit opening tool to pry open the back cover from the bottom tab.

Remove the battery with an iFixit opening tool.

Step 3 | Speaker

Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the three 1.2 mm screws securing the speaker.

Insert an iFixit opening pick and gently pry the speaker loose.

  • Pry on both sides of the speaker until it is completely detached.

Step 5 | Midframe

Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove nine 1.2 mm screws from the midframe.

Insert the iFixit opening pick into the seam between the screen and midframe, gently prying it open.

Step 7 | Motherboard

Unplug all four ports connected to the motherboard.

  • Remove the two wires from the top of the battery.
  • Next, disconnect the remaining two wires underneath the battery.

Use an iFixit opening pick to slowly pry out the motherboard.

Step 9 | Charging Port

Peel off the orange strip from the charging port using an iFixit opening pick.

Step 10 | Keyboard

Remove the blue metal plate with an iFixit opening pick.

  • Remove the black plastic from inside the battery compartment.

Step 11

Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove seven 1.2 mm screws.

Step 12

Disconnect the ribbon cable from the battery compartment.

Remove the plastic top housing or top case.

Step 14 | Screen

Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the four 1.2 mm screws located in the corners.

Use a nylon spudger to carefully pry the screen open.

  • Mind the LCD and surrounding plastic edges.

Step 16

  • Disconnect both screen connectors.
  • Pry the screen open with a spudger.

Step 17

Remove the touch button sensors with a spudger.

Step 18

Disconnect the LCD carefully using a spudger.
