LG Enact Keyboard Replacement

Power off your device before proceeding to avoid any accidental keypad entry or electrical shock.

  • Identify issues with the slider keyboard, such as unresponsive keys or malfunctioning mechanism.
  • Recognize that worn-out components may require a replacement due to prolonged usage and wear.

Step 1 | Battery

Use an iFixit opening tool to pry the bottom tab of the back cover.

  • Remove the battery using an iFixit opening tool.

Step 3 | Speaker

Remove the 3 x 1.2mm speaker screws with a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

Insert an iFixit opening pick and gently pry out the speaker.

Step 5 | Midframe

Remove nine 1.2 mm screws from the midframe with a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

Use the iFixit opening pick to gently pry out the midframe.

Step 7 | Motherboard

Unplug all four ports connected to the motherboard.

  • Remove the wire pair from the top of the battery.
  • Then, disconnect the remaining wire pair underneath the battery.

Use an iFixit opening pick to carefully pry out the motherboard.

Step 9 | Charging Port

Peel off the orange charging port strip using a iFixit opening pick.

Step 10 | Keyboard

Remove the blue metal plate with an iFixit opening pick.

  • Remove the black plastic within the battery compartment.

  • Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove seven 1.2 mm screws.

Step 12

Disconnect the ribbon cable connected to the battery compartment.

Disconnect and remove the plastic top to access the internal components.

  • Release the clips or screws holding the cover in place.
  • Gently pry the plastic top away from the device.
