LG Ally VS740 Camera Flash Replacement

Hold the phone with one hand.

• Flip the phone over to access the battery pack.
• Remove the battery cover.

Disconnect the battery.

• Identify and locate the six screws along the edge of the inner compartment, including those attached to the metal piece where the battery was previously situated.

Open the phone.

Be careful not to damage the internal components.

• Identify the thick casing on the edges around the keyboard.
• Use a nail file or prying utensil and place it at the edge of this casing.
• Pry down along the casing, from left to right, to loosen it.
• Disconnect the casing from the keyboard section.
• Flip the phone over and remove the casing completely.

Use your prying tool to lift the green circuit board platform away from the black casing.

• Gently disconnect the tether connection point on the green circuit board.

Be careful not to damage any components.

Flip the phone over and locate the camera section, which is held in place by three small clips connecting a black casing.

• Use your hands or prying tool to carefully remove these clips from the phone.

Locate the flash module, identified by a white rectangle with a yellow square.

• Lift up and disconnect the flash module gently.
• Install the new flash, ensuring the connection point aligns with the connection hole.
• Pull down firmly until it is securely seated.

Reassemble in reverse order to avoid damaging any components.
