Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro Charging Assembly Replacement

Locate and remove four Torx head screws, 4.9 mm in size, from the camera plate on the rear of the device.

Remove the 3.65 mm Torx head screws located at the bottom of the phone.

Push a paper clip or pin into the small hole on the side of the phone to release the SIM card tray.

Insert Spudger into the gap between the phone and backplate, gently prying them apart.

Gently pry the backplate from the phone.

• Pull the backplate away from the device.

Remove protective film by gently peeling it off with your fingers.

Use your fingernail or nylon spudger to carefully lift any adhesive strips securing the battery.

Always use a nylon tool when working near the battery for maximum safety.

Disconnect the orange battery ribbon cable by gently lifting it with a spudger.

• Push a fingernail or spudger on either side to release.
• Lift up and remove the battery.

Remove the 3.15mm Phillips Head #000 screws from the motherboard.

• Use tweezers to lift the black hinges of each ribbon cable.
• Pull the cables away from the board.

Disconnect the rear-camera connector carefully.

• Use your fingers to carefully lift the front-facing camera's connector tab.
• Employ a spudger to delicately lift and remove the remaining connector.

Remove the plastic brace along the top edge using a prying tool.

Disconnect the antenna attached to the bottom piece of the screen plate.

Remove the motherboard by gently lifting it off the frame.

• Pull the camera module outward, away from the motherboard.

Disconnect the charging port assembly cable using a spudger.

Be careful not to damage the charging port or nearby components.

• Release the screen connection cable from its connector.
• Completely remove the motherboard from the device.

Remove the 3.6 mm Phillips head screws from the charging assembly.

Peel the flat cable gently away from the screen.

• Lift the charging assembly using a spudger.
