If the phone still won't charge after replacing the battery, check for a faulty charging assembly and follow the replacement guide.
Locate and remove four Torx head screws, 4.9 mm in size, from the camera plate on the rear of the device.
Remove the 3.65 mm Torx head screws located at the bottom of the phone.
Push a paper clip or pin into the small hole on the side of the phone to release the SIM card tray.
Insert Spudger into the gap between the phone and backplate, gently prying them apart.
Gently pry the backplate from the phone.
Remove protective film by gently peeling it off with your fingers.
Use your fingernail or nylon spudger to carefully lift any adhesive strips securing the battery.
Always use a nylon tool when working near the battery for maximum safety.
Disconnect the orange battery ribbon cable by gently lifting it with a spudger.
Remove the 3.15mm Phillips Head #000 screws from the motherboard.
Disconnect the rear-camera connector carefully.
Remove the plastic brace along the top edge using a prying tool.
Disconnect the antenna attached to the bottom piece of the screen plate.
Remove the motherboard by gently lifting it off the frame.
Disconnect the charging port assembly cable using a spudger.
Be careful not to damage the charging port or nearby components.
Remove the 3.6 mm Phillips head screws from the charging assembly.
Peel the flat cable gently away from the screen.
