How to Apply New Ultra Wideband Antenna Adhesive in Your Google Pixel Fold

This repair was written and tested by iFixit staff. For more information about our repair guides, visit our website. If you've recently repaired your Google Pixel Fold, use this guide to reinstall the ultra wideband adhesive.

If necessary, refer to our previous guide on removing the ultra wideband antenna first.

Step 1 | Adhesive information

Locate the original adhesive on the antenna's underside.

Position your replacement adhesive near the old location.
No exact alignment is required, but proximity to the original position is advised.

Step 2 | Remove the old adhesive

Use tweezers or your fingers to remove the old adhesive strips.

Step 3 | Peel the liners

Remove the adhesive strips from their clear protective liners.

Step 4 | Apply the adhesive

Apply adhesive strips to designated areas of the antenna.

Press down on the adhesive using a spudger or your fingers.

Step 5 | Expose the adhesive

Peel off the blue liners by gripping the pull tabs, exposing the adhesive.

Step 6 | Secure the antenna

Reconnect the ultra wideband antenna press connector.
Align the antenna with its top end against the thermal insulator.
Press down on the antenna using a spudger or your fingers.
