How to Apply a New Graphite Sheet in Your Google Pixel Fold

Follow this guide to replace the graphite sheet and thermal insulator in your Google Pixel Fold after a previous repair.

Step 1 | Align the Adhesive

Place the new graphite sheet on top of the logic board, ensuring the clear liner is facing the logic board.

  • Verify that the new graphite sheet's correct orientation is maintained.

Step 2 | Apply the graphite sheet

Be careful not to stick the adhesive in the wrong spot.

  • Peel off the graphite sheet's liner, exposing the sticky side.
  • Apply the graphite sheet to the logic board.
  • Press down the adhesive using a spudger's flat end or your fingers to ensure a good seal.

Step 3 | Remove the liners

Remove and discard the two blue liners.

  • The exposed graphite sheet will be visible underneath.

Step 4 | Apply the thermal insulator

Remove the thermal insulator from its clear liner.

Align the sticky side with the top left corner of the graphite sheet.

Step 5 | Expose the thermal insulator

Press the thermal insulator firmly with a spudger or your fingers.

  • Grip the pull tab and carefully peel off the blue liner.
