Charged batteries can be hazardous when damaged; allow the battery to discharge below 25% first.
Place phone face-up on smooth surface.
For complete instructions on using the Anti-Clamp, refer to this guide.
If not using the Anti-Clamp, skip ahead three steps for an alternate method.
For smooth surfaces, use tape to create extra grip or for cracked glass, apply packing tape for better suction adherence.
Position a flat object under your phone to ensure it rests level between the Anti-Clamp's arms.
Make sure the suction cups remain aligned; if they slip out of alignment, detach and realign the arms before proceeding.
Insert an opening pick into the gap under the back glass.
Don't crank more than a quarter turn at a time, and wait one minute between turns.
Apply a suction cup as close to the center of the bottom edge as possible.
Difficulty may vary depending on your phone's age. If struggling, apply more heat and try again.
Do not insert the opening pick deeper than 3.5 mm when separating the back glass adhesive.
Apply a iOpener to the left edge of the back glass and heat it for 2 minutes.
Insert and rotate a persistent pick at the bottom left corner to gently pry the adhesive loose.
Insert a second opening pick at the bottom left corner.
Apply a iOpener to the top edge of the back glass and heat it for 2 minutes.
Heat an iOpener and apply it to the right edge of the back glass for exactly two minutes.
Separate the adhesive carefully, rotating a pick around the top right corner.
Be extremely careful when approaching the sharp corner, as it is prone to damage.
Leave the back glass connected by its cable.
If edges show resistance, use an opening pick for remaining adhesive separation.
Keep track of each screw and ensure it returns to its original location.
Use tweezers or your fingers to pull the middle bracket toward the left edge of the phone and release its clip.
Use a spudger to pry up the back glass cable from the motherboard.
Misaligned connectors can cause damage to the pins.
Remove the back glass.
Using the wrong adhesive or incorrect reassembly techniques can lead to a faulty seal and screen damage.
Use isopropyl alcohol (90% or higher) and a lint-free cloth to remove residual adhesive.
The graphite sheet is very fragile; handle it carefully when peeling.
During reassembly: if the graphite sheet was completely removed, replace it as per this guide.
Remove the screw cover using tweezers or a clean fingertip.
Remove the Torx Plus 3IP driver and use it to unscrew the five 3.1mm long screws holding the bottom bracket in place.
Release the bottom bracket's clip using tweezers or your fingers.
During reassembly, ensure the clip is seated under its slot before aligning screw holes.
Disconnect both battery packs from the phone.
Remove the grey conductive tape from the bottom interconnect cable.
Never touch the capacitor terminals — risk of electric shock.
You must disconnect both connectors to avoid accidental contact with the logic board, which could cause damage.
Remove the new conductive tape from its liner.
Ensure the sticky side adheres directly to the bottom interconnect connector, spanning across the logic board.
Press the conductive tape in place with a spudger or your finger.
Remove the tape covering the graphite sheet.
Locate the ultra-wideband antenna attached to the graphite sheet.
Peel up the ultra wideband antenna and remove it.
Only use the original adhesive if still sticky and intact; otherwise, replace it according to the replacement guide.
Insert the opening pick at the top edge of the graphite sheet, sliding it under the thermal insulator adhesive to loosen its bond.
Peel the graphite sheet off the logic board using a gentle prying motion.
Use tweezers to carefully remove any remaining adhesive from the logic board.
Never pry against the battery with a spudger, as it may be damaged.
During reassembly, use existing adhesive only if it remains intact and sticky. Otherwise, replace it according to this guide.
Risk of damage to small surface-mounted components on the logic board. Prying against the logic board is strongly advised against.
Remove the tape cover from the top interconnect cable.
Remove new conductive tape from liner.
Remove the Torx Plus 3IP driver and unscrew:
Identify the press connector, which includes the metal bracket.
Avoid damaging small surface-mounted components on the logic board.
Remove the two screws (2.8mm long) using a Torx Plus 3IP driver.
During reassembly, ensure top bracket clips fit into frame slots before aligning screw holes.
Be gentle when handling the 5G mmWave antenna to avoid damaging it.
If your original adhesive is still intact, you can reuse it during reassembly.
Locate the bottom right corner of the front camera press connector.
Loosen the front camera from the frame.
Apply moderate heat using an iOpener for two minutes, evenly spreading it across the front camera.
Alternatively, use a hair dryer or heat gun at a low setting to avoid overheating the phone. Do not concentrate heat on one area.
Use tweezers to grasp the front camera near its connector.
When reassembling, if your adhesive remains intact and sticky, you can reuse it. Otherwise, replace the adhesive as described in this guide.
Alternatively, use double-sided tape like Tesa Tape to secure the front camera if custom cut adhesive strips are unavailable.
Use painter's tape with light adhesive to secure the cables:
Avoid folding cables at sharp angles, which can damage them.
Insert the flat edge of a spudger into the top of the logic board, near the front camera recess.
Be cautious when handling the fragile logic board with many cutouts.
Avoid yanking the logic board if stuck.
Remove old thermal paste from the logic board using the flat end of a spudger.
Follow proper reapplication technique to prevent overheating issues.
Insert the USB-C port into its cutout at a shallow angle.
Avoid twisting or pinching the rubber gasket.
Push the logic board toward the bottom edge and press it firmly into its lower metal clip.
Locate the white logic board bracket and press down to secure it under the frame's edge.
Ensure all cables are above the logic board before securing it back into place.
Peel the fingerprint sensor cable away from the frame using a gentle prying motion.
Insert an opening pick between the button bracket board and the frame.
Adhesive can damage if not handled properly, so work carefully.
Remove the Torx Plus 3IP screwdriver with three 2.3mm-long screws.
Insert the point of the spudger into the recess and gently pry the button bracket free.
Position the volume button pegs in their corresponding slots.
