Always discharge the battery below 25% to prevent damage, which can cause a potentially hazardous fire.
Place phone on clean surface with back glass facing up.
Using the Anti-Clamp, follow these steps:
Ensure the suction cup on the inner screen does not touch the bezel for proper adhesion.
If the surface is too slippery, use tape for a better grip. For cracked glass, use packing tape to aid adhesion.
Position an object under your phone, such as a box or stack of books, to ensure it remains level between the Anti-Clamp's arms.
Insert an opening pick into the gap under the back glass.
Do not crank more than a quarter turn at a time, and wait one minute between turns.
Let the Anti-Clamp and time do the work for you.
Apply a suction cup to the back glass near its center.
Difficulty may arise due to phone age; apply more heat and try again if necessary.
Do not insert the opening pick deeper than 3.5 mm — risk of damaging internal components.
Apply iOpener to left edge of back glass and heat for 2 minutes.
Insert the opening pick into the bottom left corner and rotate it to break the adhesive seal.
Heat a iOpener and apply it to the top edge of the back glass for 2 minutes.
Insert the opening pick into the top left corner and rotate it slowly to loosen the adhesive.
Insert the third opening pick into the top left corner.
Apply iOpener to right edge of back glass and heat for 2 minutes.
Be extremely careful when approaching the sharp corner, as it is prone to damage.
Insert a new opening pick into the top right corner.
Be extremely careful when handling the sharp corner, as it is prone to damage.
Leave the back glass attached by the cable.
Keep track of each screw and ensure it returns to its original location.
Apply constant, downward force to prevent screw stripping.
Use tweezers or your fingers to pull the middle bracket toward the left edge of the phone and release its clip.
Use a spudger to disconnect the back glass cable from the motherboard.
Remove the back glass.
During reassembly:
If custom cut strips are not available, use Tesa Tape (double-sided tape) to secure the back glass instead.
Be very gentle when handling the graphite sheet as it is fragile and may tear easily.
When reassembling:
Remove the screw cover by gently pulling it away with tweezers or your clean fingertip.
Use a Torx Plus 3IP driver to remove the five 3.1 mm-long screws securing the bottom bracket.
Careful when handling internal cables to avoid damage.
Remove the grey conductive tape from the bottom interconnect cable.
Accidental contact between the battery connector and the logic board may cause damage.
Remove the old conductive tape from the bottom interconnect cable.
Remove the tape holding the graphite sheet in place.
Be careful not to damage the graphite sheet.
Peel up the ultra wideband antenna and remove it.
Insert an opening pick between the top edge of the graphite sheet and the phone case.
Peel the graphite sheet off the logic board to remove the remaining adhesive.
Remove and discard the separated graphite sheet.
Use tweezers to gently remove any remaining adhesive from the logic board.
Do not pry against the battery with a spudger — risk of damage.
During reassembly, if your adhesive is intact and sticky, you can reuse it. Otherwise, replace the adhesive according to this guide or use double-sided tape like Tesa Tape to secure the speaker.
Risk of damage to small components — avoid prying against the logic board.
Remove the protective tape covering the top interconnect cable.
Replace the conductive tape during reassembly by peeling off the new tape from its liner.
Remove the Torx Plus 3IP driver. Use it to unscrew two fasteners.
Do not attempt to separate the metal bracket from the press connector.
Risk of damage to small surface-mounted components on the logic board — take care during this step.
Use a Torx Plus 3IP driver to remove the two middlescrew holding the middle bracket.
Push the top bracket towards the left edge until its clips are released.
Be cautious when handling the 5G mmWave antenna.
If the adhesive is still intact, you can reuse it during reassembly.
Risk of damage to surface-mounted components: only pry at the front camera press connector.
Avoid overheating the phone.
Be careful not to pinch the press connector's pins with tweezers.
Do not bend the press connector's pins during removal.
Secure the Fingerprint sensor cable, Top interconnect cable, and Inner screen cable using painter's tape with light adhesive.
Locate the upper alignment peg and insert the flat end of a spudger underneath.
Be cautious when handling the fragile logic board, as it has multiple cutouts in the frame.
Scrape off thermal paste from logic board bottom using flat-end spudger.
Thermal paste residue can cause damage, so thorough cleaning is essential.
Logic board reassembly guide: Follow the thermal paste application instructions to avoid any issues.
When applying new thermal paste:
Insert the USB-C port at a shallow angle into its cutout in the frame.
Be careful not to twist or pinch the rubber gasket.
Push the logic board toward the bottom edge.
Press firmly until it engages with the lower metal clip.
Press down on the white logic board bracket until it is seated under the lip at the edge of the frame.
Ensure all cables are above the logic board before installing it.
Disconnect and remove the rear camera assembly.
