Extreme heat can damage components — never apply excessive temperature.

  • Use a hair dryer to heat the entire rear cover, not your phone.
  • Heat until just hot to the touch — no extreme temperatures.

Apply gentle heat to soften adhesive, aiding separation of rear cover and frame.

Step 3 | Apply a suction handle

Step 3 image

Check if the camera bezel is detached from the rear cover and stuck to your phone.

  • Only attempt removal if the bezel has become dislodged.

  • Slide a credit card or opening pick under the bezel, about 2-3 mm deep.
  • Pry up gently to remove the bezel. Be cautious not to damage the cameras.
  • If removal is difficult, lightly heat the camera bezel with a hair dryer or heat gun.

Step 22 | Clean the frame

Step 22 image

Use high-concentration isopropyl alcohol to prevent damage.

  • Apply the isopropyl alcohol directly to a lint-free cloth.
  • Gently wipe down the areas where the adhesive was using a clean section of the cloth.
  • You can also use a coffee filter as an alternative to a lint-free cloth.

Step 23 | Find the adhesive orientation

Step 23 image

Thumbnail 2

Hold the rear cover adhesive above the frame to determine its correct orientation.

  • Use the camera cutout in the liner to visualize the placement of the adhesive.
  • Verify how it will sit on the frame before applying, as incorrect application may require restarting with new adhesive.

Step 24 | Peel the liner halfway down

Step 24 image

Peel down the top half of the large, clear liner to expose the adhesive.

Do not fully remove the liner yet.

Step 25 | Apply the adhesive

Step 25 image
