Allow your Pixel's battery to drain below 25% before proceeding — risk of explosion with a damaged lithium-ion battery.

  • Unplug all cables from your phone.
  • Press and hold the power and volume up buttons simultaneously to access the shutdown menu.

Ensure your phone is completely powered off before proceeding with repair steps.

Step 2 | Adhesive information

Apply adhesive along the perimeter of the back glass to secure it to the frame.

  • When separating the adhesive, keep your tool at least 3 mm above the internal components.
  • To assist, mark a minimum 3 mm distance on an opening pick with a permanent marker before insertion.

A suction cup may not stick well if the back glass is badly cracked.

  • Lay overlapping strips of packing tape over the glass for protection and easier disassembly.
  • Ensure a smooth, large area near the bottom edge for a suction cup to adhere securely.

Step 3 | Apply a suction handle
