Batteries are not included with the replacement inner screen assembly; source your own accordingly.
Allow the phone's battery to drain below 25% to prevent potential fire hazards.
Apply a suction cup near the center of the bottom edge.
If the back cover is badly cracked, apply clear packing tape to improve suction cup adhesion. Alternatively, use strong tape or superglue for added grip if necessary.
Insert the opening pick no deeper than 3 mm to avoid damaging metal springs.
Inserting too far may cause damage, but marking a 3 mm line on your tool can help you gauge depth.
Slide the pick along the top left corner, then continue it along the top edge of the back cover.
Be cautious with the thick adhesive along the right edge.
Ensure the back cover is still connected by its cable before proceeding.
Avoid straining the cable when lifting the back cover.
Position the back cover over the phone by lifting its bottom edge and swinging it towards the top edge.
Secure the back cover in place using your suction handle or a sturdy object, ensuring the cable is not strained.
Keep track of each screw and ensure it is returned to its original position.
Use a Torx Plus 3IP driver to remove the 3.0 mm-long screw securing the top bracket.
Use tweezers or your fingers to gently pull the top bracket upwards.
Insert the spudger tip under the bottom edge of the back cover cable press connector.
Do not insert the spudger elsewhere, as you risk damaging surface-mounted components.
Remove the Torx Plus 3IP driver and unscrew the two 3.0 mm-long screws securing the base battery bracket.
Release the base battery bracket by gently pulling it towards the bottom of the phone with your fingers or a pair of tweezers.
Be careful not to damage the clips.
Risk of dislodging components when inserting in wrong location.
Use a spudger to pry up the USB-C port board cable press connector.
Remove the vibrator bracket using a Torx Plus 3IP driver.
Use a Torx Plus 3IP driver to remove the two small, 2.6 mm-long screws securing the inner front camera bracket.
Be careful not to touch any sensitive areas while handling the bracket.
Insert the spudger between the connector and its socket, gently prying it upwards.
Insert the point of a spudger into the gap between the inner front camera and the frame.
Insert the flat end of a spudger between the ultra wideband antenna and the frame.
Use a Torx Plus 3IP driver to remove the two 3.0 mm-long screws holding the ultra wideband bracket in place.
Remove the screw securing the interconnect cable bracket using a Torx Plus 3IP driver.
Hold the tweezers or use your fingers to gently pull the bracket towards the right edge.
Remove the Torx Plus 3IP using it to unscrew the screw (3.0 mm long) securing the inner display cable bracket.
Release the inner display cable bracket by gently pulling it towards the left edge using tweezers or your fingers.
Insert the point of a spudger under the bottom left corner of the inner display press connector, next to the gold marker on the logic board.
Do not insert your spudger anywhere else, as you risk dislodging surface-mounted components.
Disconnect the top and bottom interconnect cables by prying carefully next to the gold markers.
Remove the graphite sheet by peeling it off from the bottom speaker
Continue removing the graphite sheet from the logic board, separating any remaining adhesive.
Remove the yellow tape from the ZIF connector using tweezers or your fingers.
Use the tip of a spudger or your fingernail to lift the locking tab on the side button cable ZIF connector.
Never touch the battery or puncture it, as it may leak hazardous chemicals and/or cause a fire.
Remove the thermal pad from the 5G mmWave antenna.
Locate and remove the Torx Plus 3IP driver secured by three screws on the logic board.
Gently insert the flat end of a spudger into the top left corner of the logic board, near the inner front camera cutout.
You may encounter some resistance due to thermal paste bonding.
Pry up the logic board enough to securely grip the top edge with your fingers.
Lift the logic board from its mounting points.
Use the flat end of a spudger to scrape away large pieces of old thermal paste from the frame.
Wipe away the residue using a coffee filter or lint-free cloth, avoiding contact with electrical components
.Avoid applying excessive pressure on the logic board during cleaning to prevent damage.
Remove the conductive fabric connection between the loudspeaker and the frame using either tweezers or your fingers.
Careful not to puncture the battery, which may leak hazardous chemicals or catch fire.
Use a Torx Plus 3IP driver to remove the loudspeaker screw.
Insert the spudger into the gap near the left edge of the loudspeaker
Slide the loudspeaker upward using your fingers.
Use an opening pick to pry up the USB-C port board cable from the device's frame.
Remove the three USB-C port board screws using a Torx Plus 3IP driver.
Use a spudger to carefully pry up the top right corner of the USB-C port board, releasing it from the frame.
Peel up the pull tab on the base battery with your fingers.
Unfold your phone and flip it over.
Be cautious not to overheat, as the screen is prone to damage from excessive heat exposure.
The battery adhesive is strong; be cautious when pulling on the battery.
If you're having trouble separating the adhesive or risk damaging the battery, proceed with the alternate method:
Apply 3-5 drops of high concentration (≥90% isopropyl alcohol) to the underside of the base battery near the edge.
Lift the bottom edge of the phone, allowing isopropyl alcohol to flow underneath the battery.
Wait 1 minute for the adhesive to soften before proceeding.
Secure the phone with one hand.
Heat the vibrator with a hair dryer or heat gun until slightly warm.
Insert one arm of a pair of angled tweezers into the notch at the bottom left corner of the vibrator.
Apply a suction cup near the bottom edge of the screen.
For stubborn screens, consider using strong tape or superglue to secure the suction cup.
Do not insert opening pick deeper than 3mm to prevent internal component damage.
Optionally, measure and mark 3mm from tip for visualization.
Position the pick at the top right corner of the device and maneuver it until just before the front camera.
Slide the opening pick back out slightly, leaving only the tip underneath the screen.
Do not slide the pick beyond two-thirds of the left edge — risk of damaging the display cable.
Insert the opening pick back into the phone at a 2 mm depth.
Do not disconnect the screen cable yet.
Lift the right edge of the screen and swing it over the left edge of the phone, similar to opening a book.
Prop up the screen using your suction handle or a sturdy, clean object.
Keep track of each screw's location.
Standard Torx bits work but may damage Torx Plus screws.
Remove the display cable bracket using a Torx Plus 3IP driver.
Apply conductive tape to secure the display cable bracket to the frame.
Use the point of a spudger to carefully pry up and release the display cable press connector.
Remove the screen from the frame.
Remove the Torx Plus 3IP driver secured battery bracket using the 2.0 mm-long screw.
Remove any conductive tape securing the battery connector bracket to the lower board.
Insert the pointed end of a spudger under the battery press connector.
Remove the rubber block from the top board using tweezers, or your fingers.
Remove the Torx Plus 3IP driver and use it to unscrew the two 2.2mm long screws holding the top interconnect cable bracket in place.
Remove the top interconnect cable bracket with tweezers or your fingers.
Locate the top interconnect cable press connector near the golden marker.
Remove the Torx Plus 3IP driver from its holder and use it to unscrew the two screws (each approximately 2.2 mm long) that secure the bottom interconnect cable bracket.
Remove the bottom interconnect cable bracket using tweezers or your fingers.
Insert a spudger under the right edge of the bottom interconnect cable press connector.
Avoid inserting the spudger elsewhere to prevent dislodging nearby surface-mounted components.
Use caution when inserting objects into the SIM card tray hole to avoid damaging it.
Insert the flat end of a spudger under the flip battery cable.
Peel both edges of the flip battery pull tabs away from the battery using your fingers.
Unfold your phone and flip it over so that the inner screen is facing upwards.
Do not heat the screen for longer than 30 seconds, as excessive heat can cause damage.
Do not lose one of the sides of the pull tab under the battery.
Alternately, if a side of the pull tab gets under the battery, proceed to the next step for removal assistance.
The remaining adhesive can cause severe damage if not removed carefully.
Hold the phone at an angle, allowing isopropyl alcohol to seep underneath the battery.
Wait 1 minute for the adhesive to loosen.
Apply a suction handle to the center of the flip battery.
Apply constant pressure to avoid damaging the flip battery or surrounding components.
Once separated, carefully remove the flip battery.
Remove the Torx Plus 3IP driver and use it to unscrew the 2.2mm-long screw securing the top board.
Insert flat-end spudger at bottom edge of top board.
Reassembly begins now.
Align the top board's edges with the frame.
Use a Torx Plus 3IP driver to secure the top board.
Remove old flip battery adhesive from the frame using tweezers or your fingers.
Clean the area with isopropyl alcohol (at least 90% concentration) using a coffee filter or microfiber cloth.
The flip battery cable and connector adhesives are separate from the main strip.
Press down on the adhesive strips using the flat end of a spudger or your fingers.
Remove the protective cover from the adhesive strip.
Securely attach the adhesive strip to the frame.
Press down the individual adhesive strips using the flat end of a spudger or your fingers.
Peel the colored liner away from the adhesive using the pull tab.
Remove colored liners from both flip battery cable and connector adhesive.
Position the flip battery so its top edge aligns with the top edge of the battery well.
Press down the flip battery along the phone's perimeter to secure it.
Hold the lower board firmly in position and reinsert the SIM card tray.
Reconnect the bottom interconnect cable press connector.
Position the bottom interconnect cable bracket onto the lower board, ensuring that the screw holes are aligned.
Install the bottom interconnect cable bracket using a Torx Plus 3IP driver.
Reconnect the top interconnect cable press connector.
Align the top interconnect cable bracket with the top board's screw holes.
Install the top interconnect cable bracket using a Torx Plus 3IP driver.
Position the rubber block over its designated location on the top board, then firmly press it into place.
Reconnect the flip battery press connector.
Place the flip battery bracket over the press connector, ensuring alignment of the screw holes.
Install the Torx Plus 3IP driver and secure the battery bracket with the 2.0 mm-long screw.
Check if the outer screen adhesive at the bottom left corner is still sticky.
Check that the bottom left outer screen adhesive aligns with the frame.
Press the adhesive strip onto the frame using the flat end of a spudger.
Compare the perimeter outer screen adhesive with the frame.
Careful handling is crucial to avoid sticking the adhesive incorrectly.
Position the adhesive's top half along the frame, referencing the corners.
Press down on the adhesive's top edge with the flat end of a spudger, or your fingers.
Be careful not to touch the adhesive prematurely, as this can lead to wrinkles and misalignment.
Slowly peel away the remaining clear liner.
Press the remaining adhesive firmly onto the frame using the flat end of a spudger or your fingers.
Insert the spudger into the gap between the liner and the casing, then use its tip to carefully pry up the small segmented tab located at the bottom left corner.
Remove the large blue liner by lifting its tab.
If adhesive peels up with the liner, reattach gently using a spudger.
Support the screen with your hand or a sturdy object.
Make sure to reconnect the outer screen cable press connector securely.
Reattach the outer screen cable bracket clip to the frame, ensuring proper alignment of the screw hole.
Install the Torx Plus 3IP driver.
Separate the blue liner from the bottom left outer screen adhesive strip.
Peel off the secondary liner while still holding the screen.
Align the outer screen with the frame and press firmly to secure.
Press the outer screen along its perimeter onto the frame.
Flip your phone over.
Align the vibrator over its cutout and press down to adhere it firmly.
Remove the old base battery adhesive using tweezers or your fingers.
The base battery adhesive must match the frame's cutout.
Careful handling is essential during this step to avoid misplacing the adhesive.
Press the adhesive strips onto the frame using the flat end of a spudger or your fingers.
Remove and discard the colored liner to reveal the adhesive strips.
Position the new base battery so that its top edge aligns with the battery recess.
Press the battery firmly into place against the battery frame.
Press the battery onto the using your fingertips.
Reinstall USB-C port board into its original position within the frame.
Press the USB-C port board firmly against the frame, ensuring the alignment pegs fit into their corresponding holes.
Hold the board firmly in place.
Check if the USB-C port cable's adhesive is sticky or intact.
Careful not to touch any electronic components during this process.
Reattach the USB-C port board cable to its original position on the frame by pressing firmly.
If either is damaged, use tweezers or your fingers to carefully remove them.
Position the conductive fabric at the base of the speaker, referring to the second image for accurate alignment.
Press the conductive fabric onto the loudspeaker using either the flat end of a spudger or your fingers.
Remove the clear liner from the adhesive.
Pinch the cable with your fingers, applying gentle pressure.
Position the loudspeaker cable so that its hole aligns with the cable peg on the frame.
Press down the cable firmly but gently using a spudger tip or your finger to secure it in place.
Press the cable down while sliding the loudspeaker into its recess at an angle.
Secure the speaker by pressing it firmly against the frame.
Hold the loudspeaker firmly in place.
Check the condition of the top conductive fabric before proceeding.
Ensure the rounded corner of the conductive fabric aligns with the corresponding mark on the .
Press the conductive fabric onto the frame and loudspeaker using the flat end of a spudger or your fingers.
Remove the large colored liner from the conductive fabric.
Apply five small beads of thermal paste to the same locations on the motherboard as the original.
Insert the logic board back into its designated area in the frame.
Install the Torx Plus 3IP driver and secure the logic board with:
Use angled tweezers to gently re-seat the side button cable in its designated slot.
Press the locking tab downward until it clicks.
Apply yellow tape to the ZIF connector and its associated cable.
Peel the clear liner from the top half of the replacement graphite sheet to expose the adhesive.
Press the upper half of the graphite sheet firmly onto the logic board using a finger.
Remove the blue liner from the bottom of the graphite sheet.
Place the graphite sheet onto the loudspeaker, dragging your finger gently from the center outwards to smooth and secure the graphite in place.
Hold the pull tab firmly at the top of the graphite sheet and carefully remove the remaining liner.
Press the inner display cable connector firmly into its socket.
Align the inner display cable bracket with its slot on the logic board, ensuring the screw holes match.
Align the screw hole on the bottom interconnect bracket clip with its corresponding slot in the frame.
Install the Torx Plus 3IP driver for the 3.0mm-long screw.
Hold the ultra wideband antenna out of the way.
Install the Torx Plus 3IP driver and secure the ultra wideband bracket using two 3.0 mm-long screws.
Replace corresponding adhesive and foam on the bracket and frame.
Press the ultra wideband antenna firmly to the frame to ensure proper re-adhesion.
Remove the old adhesive foam from the inner front camera cutout using tweezers or your fingers.
Peel the replacement inner front camera adhesive foam off its clear liner.
Press along the edges of the adhesive foam with the tip of a spudger
Remove the colored liner using tweezers or your fingers.
Reconnect the inner front camera's press connector while holding it above its cutout.
Realign the inner front camera bracket clip with its slot on the logic board, ensuring the screw holes match.
Hold the antenna cable's connector in place using tweezers.
Align the vibrator bracket with the screw holes on the logic board.
Install the vibrator bracket using a Torx Plus 3IP driver.
Reconnect the USB-C port board cable press connector.
Reattach the base battery press connector.
Reattach the base battery bracket by placing it back into its slot on the logic board, ensuring its screw holes are aligned.
Install the base battery bracket with two Torx Plus 3IP driver-secured 3.0mm screws.
Careful not to damage surrounding components.
Remove any existing rear camera liners from the new back cover.
Remove any remaining clear adhesive strips from the outside of the back cover.
Check the adhesive on the liners against the frame.
Ensure the clear liner is facing the frame.
Careful handling is required to avoid misplacing the adhesive.
Press down the adhesive along the top edge using the flat end of a spudger or your fingers.
Slowly lay the remaining adhesive around the perimeter of the phone as you peel off the rest of the clear liner.
Press down the remaining adhesive with the flat end of a spudger or your fingers.
Use a spudger to pry up the segmented tab on the bottom right corner of the large blue liner.
If any adhesive peels up, gently lay it back on the frame and use the flat end of a spudger to secure it.
Do not force the back cover cable connector into place — risk of damage.
Align the top bracket clip with its slot on the logic board and insert it.
Ensure correct alignment to avoid damaging the logic board.
Position the clip's screw hole correctly before proceeding.
Install the Torx Plus 3IP driver.
Use the spudger tip to gently pry up the segmented tab at the top right corner of the secondary liner.
Remove the secondary liner from the adhesive.
Press the back cover firmly onto the frame, ensuring proper alignment at the top edge.
Press along the perimeter of the back cover to adhere it to the frame.
Let the phone sit undisturbed for several hours to allow the adhesive to cure properly.
