How to Apply a New Graphite Sheet in Your Google Pixel 8

Follow this replacement process for the graphite sheet in your Google Pixel 8 device:

Step 1 | Align the graphite sheet

Place the graphite sheet with the clear liner facing down.

  • Align the graphite sheet over your phone, matching the cutouts in the liner.
  • Verify proper alignment before installation.

Step 2 | Remove the clear liner

Remove the larger clear liner from the back of the sheet.

Be careful not to touch the exposed adhesive.

Step 3 | Place the graphite sheet

Misaligned application requires reapplying the graphite sheet.

  • Gently place the top edge of the graphite sheet on the .
  • Position the rest of the sheet carefully onto your phone.

Step 4 | Secure the graphite sheet

Firmly secure the sheet to your phone using the flat end of a spudger, your fingers, or a plastic card.

Do not proceed without securing the sheet, as it may misalign in the next step.

Step 5 | Remove the blue liner

Peel up and remove the remaining blue liner.

  • If a part of the sheet peels up with the liner, carefully lay it back on the frame.
  • Use your fingers to secure the sheet in place.
