How to Apply a New Graphite Sheet in Your Google Pixel 8 Pro

This guide is intended for replacing the graphite sheet in your Google Pixel 8 Pro.

Step 1 | Align the graphite sheet

Align the graphite sheet by placing the clear liner at the bottom and overlaying it onto your phone.

  • Identify the areas with three flaps, which should cover the rear camera assembly.

Step 2 | Remove the clear liner

Remove the larger clear liner from the back of the sheet.

Exposing the adhesive may cause sticking or adhesion issues if not handled properly.

Step 3 | Place the graphite sheet

Be extremely careful during this step as incorrect application requires starting over.

  • Place the top edge of the graphite sheet onto the frame, using the lip to guide its position.
  • Lay the remaining part of the sheet carefully onto your phone.

Step 4 | Secure the graphite sheet

Do not proceed without securing the graphite sheet firmly to the phone.

  • Firmly press down with your fingers on the graphite sheet to secure it to the phone.
  • Be careful to avoid damaging the spring contacts near the phone's edges.

Step 5 | Remove the blue liner

Peel up the remaining blue liner, being gentle to avoid damage.

  • If a part of the sheet starts peeling up with the liner, carefully place it back onto the and use your fingers to secure it in position.
