Google Pixel 7 Pro Loudspeaker Replacement

For your safety, discharge the battery below 25% before disassembling your phone.

  • This guide assumes the GE2AE model (5G mmWave antenna) but can be adapted for non-mmWave models by skipping relevant steps.
  • Replace the loudspeaker in your Google Pixel 7 Pro using this guide, which involves substantial disassembly to access the speaker underneath the motherboard.

The Pixel 7 Pro contains class 1 lasers; avoid exposure to invisible infrared laser emissions during disassembly.

  • Retaining water resistance requires careful reapplication of adhesive, but your device will lose its IP rating after repair.
  • You'll need replacement adhesive for this repair.

If your battery is swollen, take precautions to avoid damage during the repair.

Step 1 | Safety precautions

Do not pry at the screen seam — risk of damaging the phone's internal components.

  • Identify the bezel seam, where the plastic bezel meets the frame and is held by plastic clips.
  • Pry at the bezel seam to release the plastic clips holding the screen in place.

Insert opening picks ~3.5 mm deep only to avoid damaging internals or interfering with plastic clips.

  • Avoid inserting picks too deeply, as this can block them under the screen and damage the phone's internal components.
  • Several plastic clips secure the screen; be cautious not to insert picks too far underneath.

Step 3 | Anti-Clamp instructions

Step 3 image

Thumbnail 3

For users with the Anti-Clamp tool, proceed with steps 4-6.

  • Apply clear packing tape over cracked screen to aid suction cup adhesion.
  • Anti-Clamp: Pull blue handle backwards to unlock arms.
  • Slide arms over phone's left or right edge.

If the surface is too slippery, use tape to create a grippier surface before proceeding.

  • (For Anti-Clamp users)
  • Position suction cups near phone's bottom edge (front and back).
  • Squeeze cups together to apply suction.

Step 4

Step 4 image
