    Thumbnail 3

Three steps ahead demonstrate the Anti-Clamp, a tool designed to simplify the opening procedure.

    • If your screen is cracked, cover it with clear packing tape for better suction cup adhesion.

    • Unlock the Anti-Clamp's arms by pulling the blue handle backwards.

    Use these steps:

    • Slide the arms over either edge of your phone.
    • Position one suction cup near the front, and one near the back, at the bottom edge.
    • Squeeze the cups together to apply suction.

If necessary, use tape to create a grippier surface for better adhesion.

    Step 3

Proceed with caution when using heat to avoid damaging display or internal battery.

    • Apply heat to the Anti-Clamp via an iOpener, hair dryer, or heat gun, but be cautious not to overheat.
    • Fold the iOpener to position it on the bottom edge of the phone.

Wait one minute for adhesive release before proceeding.

    • Insert an opening pick under the screen frame when a sufficient gap is created by the Anti-Clamp.
    • Rotate the Anti-Clamp handle clockwise half a turn if insufficient gap is achieved. Repeat as needed, waiting one minute between turns.

Step 5 | Loosen the display adhesive

    Step 5 image

Apply a iOpener to the screen and let it sit for at least 3 minutes.

    • For extra assistance, use a heat source such as a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate.
