Ensure your device is powered off before starting the repair.
Carefully read these notes:
Apply a heated iOpener to the right edge of the display for one minute.
Be careful not to overheat the phone — heat damage is possible to the display and internal battery.
If your display is badly cracked, you can temporarily cover it with clear packing tape to allow the suction cup to adhere.
Position the suction cup as close as possible to the right edge of the screen.
Identify the bezel seam and locate the midframe connection.
Insert the opening pick at the bezel seam, about 1.2 inches (3-4 cm) from the top of the device.
Insert the opening pick into the bezel seam at the top of the phone.
If this step proves difficult, be careful not to apply too much pressure — risk of damaging the screen.
Insert the opening pick tip into the bezel seam on the left side, 2 cm above the bottom edge of the phone.
Insert the tip of an opening pick into the bezel seam approximately 3-4 cm below the front-facing camera.
Remove all clips and use an opening pick to scrape away remaining adhesive.
Remove the screw holding the screen connector bracket using a T3 Torx driver.
Remove the screen connector bracket using a pair of tweezers.
Avoid damaging the screen flex cable or its connectors.
The Pixel's screen is extremely fragile and prone to damage from minor scratches or dents.
Remove the screen from the phone.
Remember to reinstall the screen connector bracket.
During boot-up, avoid touching the screen during calibration to prevent touch issues.
