Do not expose the display and internal battery to excessive heat.
Do not damage the screen or surrounding components.
For an alternate method without the Anti-Clamp, skip down two steps.
If the device surface is too slippery, apply packing tape to create a grippier area before proceeding.
Position one suction cup near the bottom edge of the screen, on the front and another on the back. Push down gently to secure the desired area.
Push the blue handle away from the hinge to engage opening mode.
Insert an opening pick under screen and bezel when a large gap forms.
Apply a suction cup near the heated edge.
Apply a iOpener to the left edge of the screen and heat for one minute.
Insert another opening pick into the bottom left corner of the screen.
Leave the pick inserted to prevent re-sealing of the adhesive.
Insert another opening pick into the top left corner of the screen.
Be careful not to overheat the screen.
Insert a precision opening pick into the bottom right corner of the screen.
Use the opening pick in the top left corner to lift the left edge of the screen by a few millimeters.
This will keep the clips from snapping back down into the case and potentially damaging the device.
Use tweezers to grip the screen connector cover and secure the screen flex cable.
Remove the screen connector cover.
Keep this component for later reinstallation.
Do not press on the middle of a re-attachable connector — risk of pin bending and damage.
Handle the Pixel's screen with care, as it can be damaged easily.
Remove the screen.
