Do not remove the back cover at this stage as two ribbon cables still connect it to the rest of the phone.
Rest the back cover against an object, such as a cardboard box or soda can, for support.

Be careful not to puncture the white membranes on either side of the loudspeaker if you plan to reuse it.
Disconnect the antenna cable from the loudspeaker assembly using a pair of tweezers.
Grab the metal connector of the antenna cable, not the plastic cable.
Avoid puncturing the white membranes when lifting the loudspeaker assembly.
Peel the tape from the copper foil using your fingers or a pair of tweezers.
Be gentle, as the thin copper foil can be easily punctured.
Pull the antenna cable out from under the protective tape using either your fingers or a pair of tweezers.
Disconnect the loudspeaker cable from the motherboard using the tip of a spudger.
Disconnect the headphone jack cable from the motherboard using the tip of a spudger.
Remove the tape covering the antenna flex cable using a pair of tweezers.
Remove the screw securing the charging port using a T3 Torx screwdriver.
Careful not to damage the front-facing cameras.
Disconnect the left camera from the motherboard using the flat end of a spudger.
Do not touch the small capacitors — risk of damage.
Remove the front-facing camera assembly.
Disconnect and remove the USB-C port assembly from the motherboard.
Be careful not to damage any nearby components during removal.
The motherboard is now exposed, with all other parts removed.
