Apply a heat source (e.g., iOpener, hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate) carefully to the bottom edge of the back panel for 1 minute.
Apply a suction cup to the heated edge of the back panel by pressing down firmly.
Apply strong, steady pressure to the suction cup until a gap forms between the back panel and frame.
Difficulty may vary depending on phone age; additional heat can aid in separation if initial attempt fails.
Slide the opening pick across the bottom towards the left corner to cut the adhesive.
Prepare an iOpener and apply it to the left edge of the phone for 1 minute.
Insert a second opening pick under the back panel, placing it directly above the charge port.
Slide the opening pick around the bottom left corner and across the left side of the phone to slice the adhesive.
Apply the iOpener to the right edge of the phone for 1 minute.
Insert a third pick on the lower part of the righthand side.
Slide the third opening pick towards the top right corner and along the top edge, cutting through the remaining adhesive.
Carefully lift the right edge of the back cover, opening it like a book.
Do not attempt to remove the panel completely yet — it remains connected to the phone.
Continue opening the back panel, placing it on the left edge of the phone without stressing the ribbon cable.
Ensure the phone is completely powered down before proceeding with further repairs.
Remove the T3 Torx screws: four 4.0 mm and one 2.1 mm.
Remove the battery connector shield using a pair of tweezers.
Risk of battery puncture when using a spudger near the battery.
Do not press in the middle; misaligned connections can cause permanent damage to pins.
Use the flat end of a spudger to fold the battery cable out of the way.
Prevent accidental shorts and damage by securing the cable in its folded position.
Use a T3 Torx driver to remove the two 4 mm screws holding the back panel connector cover in place.
Remove back panel connector cover with a pair of tweezers.
Use the pointed end of a spudger to pry up the back panel connector.
When reinstalling, use custom-cut adhesives following the dedicated installation guide.
For pre-cut adhesive cards, consult the provided installation instructions.
Remove the adhesive strip by pulling on the yellow pull tab with steady force.
The pull tabs are prone to snapping; slow and steady pulling is essential.
Do not touch the grip sensor cable with the opening pick — risk of damaging nearby components.
Do not reuse a deformed or damaged battery due to potential safety hazards.
Ensure any remaining alcohol solution is wiped off with a lint-free cloth or allowed to air dry before installing the new battery.
Temporarily re-connect the battery connector to its motherboard socket for proper alignment.
Remove the T3 Torx with a turn, then take out the four 4mm screws.
Use tweezers to gently lift the camera cover and slide it out of its retaining slot located in the upper right corner.
Use the pointed end of a spudger to gently lift the camera and sensor connectors upwards from the motherboard.
Disconnect the additional sensor connector.
Remove the T3 Torx driver from its holder and insert it into the screw head.
Remove the front camera and sensor assembly using a pair of tweezers.
Remove the T3 Torx driver.
Use tweezers to carefully remove the vibration motor shield.
Locate and carefully use the pointed end of a spudger to disconnect both rear-facing camera connectors from the motherboard.
Remove the earpiece speaker connector from the motherboard.
Remove the left grip sensor connector from the motherboard.
Disconnect the right grip sensor connector from the motherboard.
Disconnect the antenna connector from the charging assembly on the motherboard using a pair of tweezers. Pull the connector straight up.
Locate and disconnect the bottom microphone connector from the motherboard.
Slowly lift out the motherboard, taking care not to snag any ribbon cable connectors.
When reinstalling, check that no ribbon cable connectors are caught underneath.
Remove the rear-facing camera module with a pair of tweezers.
Remove the two screws from the loudspeaker using a T3 Torx driver.
Insert the pointed end of a spudger into the gap between the loudspeaker and the battery.
Use tweezers to remove the loudspeaker, pivoting it up and out of the phone.
Use the pointed end of a spudger to carefully disconnect the vibration motor's press connector from the charging assembly.
Use tweezers or your fingers to gently loosen and remove the ribbon cable from the phone's frame.
Remove charging assembly.
Remove the two 3.3mm shouldered screws using a T3 Torx driver.
Insert the pointed spudger into the divot between the microphone assembly and the frame.
Insert the flat end of a spudger between the top module and the top of the frame, carefully slicing through any remaining adhesive.
Insert the flat end of a spudger into the gap between the top module and the frame.
Insert the spudger into the gap and gently pry the right side of the top module away from the body of the frame.
Separate the top module from the top speaker using the flat end of a spudger.
Grip the vibration motor with a pair of pliers near the bottom right, avoiding the cables.
Pull straight up firmly until the motor separates from the frame.
Remove the outer casing to reveal the internal components.
