Press firmly to avoid damaging the tray — risk of breakage.

  • Continue pressing until the tray is ejected.
  • Remove the SIM card tray from the phone.

Step 2 | Heat the back panel glass

Step 2 image

Be cautious when applying heat to avoid damaging the display or internal battery.

  • Prepare an iOpener by heating it for one minute.
  • Apply the heated iOpener to the bottom edge of the back panel.
  • Alternatively, use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate, but monitor temperature closely to prevent overheating.

Step 3 | Apply a suction cup

Step 3 image

Thumbnail 2

Apply a suction cup to the heated edge of the back panel by pressing down on it.

If the glass is badly cracked, cover it with clear packing tape or use strong tape instead.

  • If the suction cup does not stick, try supergluing it to the broken panel as a last resort.

Step 4 | Insert an opening pick

Step 4 image

Thumbnail 2

Apply strong, steady force with suction cup to create gap between back panel and frame.

  • Use gentle persistence — difficulty may vary depending on phone age.
  • If needed, apply more heat for easier separation.
  • Insert the point of an opening pick into the created gap.

Step 5 | Begin to slice the adhesive

Slide an opening pick across the bottom towards the left corner to slice the adhesive.

  • With the pick still inserted, slide it from the bottom left corner over to the bottom right corner to completely slice the bottom side adhesive.
  • Leave the pick in place at the bottom right corner to prevent re-sealing of the adhesive.

Be careful not to press too hard on the camera area.
