Heat an iOpener and apply it to the right edge of the back cover for 1 minute.
Be cautious when using alternative heat sources, such as a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate - risk of overheating the phone's display and internal battery.
Apply a suction cup to the heated edge of the back cover as close to the edge as possible.
Slide a precision opening pick along the right edge to cut through the adhesive.
If the adhesive becomes hard to slice as it cools, reapply heat to facilitate easier cutting.
Heat the iOpener and apply it to the bottom edge of the back cover for 1 minute.
Be careful when slicing around the corner to avoid cracking the panel.
Continue heating and slicing the remaining edges of the phone.
Careful when slicing along the left edge — risk of damaging the fingerprint sensor.
Ensure to cut through thick adhesive portions near the bottom and right edge.
Swing the right edge of the back cover upwards and rest the flipped panel along the left side of the phone.
Use your tweezers to gently lift the yellow tape covering the fingerprint sensor connector.
Use a spudger point to carefully flip up the black lock bar.
Be careful not to touch metal contacts on the flex cable with your tools.
Never touch the adhesive surfaces until they are fully dry.
Remove three T3 screws that are 4mm long.
Keep track of each removed screw for reassembly purposes.
Use only a plastic spudger to pry up and disconnect the battery connector from its socket.
Remove motherboard shield.
Remove the T3 screws, three in total, with lengths of 3 mm.
Remove the front camera bracket.
Careful prying is required to avoid damaging nearby components.
Remove any adhesive tape holding the camera in place.
Remove the front-facing camera assembly.
