Apply a suction handle to the center of the back glass's bottom edge, as close to the edge as possible.
Apply strong, steady pressure to the suction handle until a gap appears between the back glass and frame.
Separate the adhesive from the phone's frame, using the provided picture for reference.
Avoid inserting a tool near the power button area to prevent damage to the connecting cable.
Apply heat to the stuck area if the back glass feels stuck during separation.
Leave the pick in place to prevent adhesive re-sealing.
Insert the third pick at the bottom right corner of the back glass, then slide it up along the right edge.
Do not attempt to separate the back glass completely — it is still secured by a ribbon cable.
Remove the Torx Plus 3IP screwdriver and unscrew the two 5.0 mm-long screws securing the back glass connector bracket.
Avoid scratching or smudging the rear cameras.
Use the point of a spudger to carefully pry up the back glass press connector.
Remove the back glass.
Remove the Torx Plus 3IP screwdriver's protection cap, if equipped.
Use a spudger to gently pry the motherboard cover.
Insert the pointed end of the spudger under the battery press connector.
Insert the pointed end of a spudger into the interconnect cable press connector at the bottom right of the motherboard.
Remove the Torx Plus 3IP screwdriver and use it to remove the two 5.0 mm screws securing the USB-C board cover.
Remove the USB-C board cover.
Use the pointed tip of a spudger to gently pry up the interconnect cable's press connector.
Disconnect the interconnect cable.
Peel the battery tab away from the left side of the battery using your fingers.
Wear finger stalls to improve grip on battery pull tabs and frame.
Hold the phone firmly with one hand to secure it from the right side.
Hold the battery firmly in place.
Reassembly of your phone begins now.
Check for leftover plastic bits, adhesive residue from the old sleeve, and ensure there are no cutout obstructions.
Remove the large, colored liner from the battery.
Careful: adhesive residue may remain on surfaces after removal.
Position the battery over its recess and gently push down with your finger to reconnect the battery press connector.
Insert the spudger point into the battery press connector and gently pry it open.
Be careful not to damage any surrounding components while prying the connector loose.
Remove any remaining stickers or liners from the battery with your fingers.
Align the interconnect cable connectors with their sockets and carefully place it into position.
Press the interconnect cable press connector firmly into place using a finger.
Press down on the interconnect cable press connector with your finger.
Slide the USB-C board cover's top corner tabs under the retaining hooks.
Install the Torx Plus 3IP screwdriver and secure the USB-C board cover with two 5.0 mm-long screws.
Check the motherboard's thermal pad location.
If damaged, proceed to replace it in the next three steps. Otherwise, skip ahead three steps.
Use high-concentration (>90%) isopropyl alcohol for cleaning.
Press down firmly on entire surface to prevent air bubbles.
Press the battery press connector firmly in place with your finger.
Inspect the graphite sheet on the motherboard cover for damage.
Reattach the motherboard cover.
Install the Torx Plus 3IP screwdriver and secure the motherboard cover with two screws, each 5.0 mm in length.
Remove large clear liner from graphite sheet, exposing adhesive.
Position the graphite sheet with the circular section covering the battery.
Peel up the remaining liner slowly.
If the sheet lifts with the liner, gently press it back down and retry.
Completely remove the old adhesive and its residue from the frame before installing new adhesive.
Removing old adhesive can be challenging.
Be extremely cautious when removing back glass adhesive to avoid damaging the battery or fragile components near the frame's perimeter.
Wrap a microfiber or lint-free cloth around a spudger.
Apply 1 drop of high-concentration (90%+) isopropyl alcohol to the end.
Repeat cleaning procedure for back glass.
Align the back glass adhesive on the frame before application.
Expose adhesive by peeling down top half of clear liner.
Allow extra time for aligning the adhesive with the phone's frame as it's very sticky and can't be moved once applied.
Apply remaining adhesive to the frame, pressing firmly in place while removing the liner.
Press down firmly on the adhesive with a spudger
Peel up the large colored liner from the cutout near the top edge.
Press the adhesive to the with a spudger, applying firm pressure.
Inspect your new back glass for protective liners and tape on the underside.
Position the suction handle on the back glass and hold it in place on the left side.
Connect the back glass press connector using the flat end of a spudger.
Align the cable's bracket with its mounting location, ensuring the tab on the right edge fits into its corresponding groove.
Power off your device completely before proceeding.
Be careful not to let adhesives peel off liner during removal.
Flip the back glass onto the frame and press it firmly into place.
