  • Your Google Pixel 10 Pro battery has a limited lifespan. If it's dead or worn out, it may be time for replacement.
  • If the battery is swollen, take necessary precautions before proceeding.
  • You'll need new back glass adhesive to complete this repair.

Step 1 | Prepare your Pixel for disassembly

Step 1 image

Thumbnail 2

Never attempt to charge a damaged lithium-ion battery — risk of fire.

Allow the Pixel's battery to drain below 25% before proceeding with this repair.

  • Unplug all cables from the device.
  • Completely power down your phone.

Step 2 | Cracked glass preparation

Step 2 image

Thumbnail 3

Glass shards can cause injury during disassembly; address cracked phone back glass with caution.

  • Apply non-overlapping strips of packing tape over the cracked glass to contain it and enable suction cup adhesion.
  • A single strip must cover the bottom edge, allowing a suction cup to fit; avoid frame contact.

Safety glasses are recommended for protecting eyes from potential glass debris during repair.

Step 3 | Heat the bottom edge

Step 3 image

Avoid damaging the display or battery by using a heat gun incorrectly.

  • Apply heat to the back glass for two minutes using an iOpener, hair dryer, or heat gun.
  • The adhesive will soften, making it easier to separate from the frame.

Step 4 | Apply a suction handle

Step 4 image
Thumbnail 1
Thumbnail 2

Position the suction handle on the lower edge of the back glass, aligning it with the edge.
