Step 1 | Prepare your phone for disassembly

Step 1 image

Allow your phone's battery to discharge below 25% before proceeding.

  • Disconnect all cables from your phone.
  • Power your phone completely down.

Step 2 | Insert an opening pick

Apply a suction cup near the bottom center edge.

  • Pull up on the suction cup with strong force to create a gap.
  • Insert an opening pick into the gap.

If your screen is badly cracked, apply clear packing tape first for better adhesion. Alternatively, use very strong tape instead of the suction cup, or superglue it in place as a last resort.

Step 3 | Separate the adhesive

Do not insert the opening pick deeper than 3 mm to avoid damaging internal components.

  • Measure and mark your opening pick at 3 mm, if desired, for better visualization.
  • Slide the opening pick around the bottom right corner and up the right edge of the screen to separate the adhesive.

Step 4

Leave the screen attached by its cable.

  • The screen should now be loose from the frame. If not, use an opening pick to break remaining adhesive.
  • Lift the left edge of the screen and swing it over the phone's right edge, as if opening a book.
  • Prop up the screen using your suction handle or a sturdy object.

Step 7 | Remove the display cable bracket screws

Keep track of each Torx Plus and Torx bit used, ensuring correct placement.

  • For Torx Plus screws (3IP), use T3 or T4 Torx bits with constant downward force to avoid stripping.
  • To remove the display cable bracket, use a Torx Plus 3IP driver:
    • One 1.8 mm-long screw
    • Two 2.5 mm-long screws

Step 8 | Remove the display bracket
