Ensure the phone's battery is critically low (below 25%) to prevent potential fire hazards associated with lithium-ion batteries.
Secure the phone using one hand and apply a suction cup near the bottom edge.
Use strong, steady force to create a gap between the back cover and frame.
As a last resort, use superglue to attach the suction cup if other methods fail.
Adhesive along the right edge is thicker than elsewhere.
Do not insert the opening pick deeper than 3 mm.
Insert the pick along the left edge of the device, working it around the bottom left corner to loosen any remaining adhesive.
Do not remove the back cover yet as it is still connected to the phone by a cable.
Strain on the cable can cause damage — keep it secure while handling the back cover.
Keep track of each screw's original location for reassembly.
Use a Torx Plus 3IP driver to avoid damaging the top bracket's screws.
Insert the point of a spudger into the clip and gently pry it away from the top edge of the frame.

Remove the back cover from the device's frame.
Remove the three Torx Plus 3IP screws (each 3.2 mm long) using the corresponding driver.
Use tweezers or your fingers to pry the right edge of the vibrator.
Use the pointed end of a spudger to pry up and release the base battery press connector.
Insert an opening pick between the graphite sheet and the bottom speaker, then gently pry them apart.
Remove the graphite sheet from the logic board.
Residual adhesive may still be present after removal.
Use a opening pick to carefully lift the two green tabs at the bottom of the battery.
Avoid applying excessive pressure, which can damage the surrounding components.
Unfold your phone and flip it with the inner screen facing upwards.
Do not heat the inner screen for more than 30 seconds to avoid heat damage.
Use finger stalls for improved grip on pull tabs.
The battery adhesive is strong — take care when removing.
If trouble persists, apply more heat and try again.
Peel the conductive fabric from the loudspeaker using the pointed tip of a spudger.
Remove the Torx Plus 3IP driver to unscrew the 2.4 mm-long screw securing the loudspeaker.
Insert the point of a spudger into the gap between the loudspeaker and frame, and gently pry the left edge of the speaker loose.
Hold the loudspeaker by the edges and gently lift it.
Apply high concentration isopropyl alcohol (at least 90%) to the underside of the base battery.
Lift the bottom edge of the phone to allow isopropyl alcohol to flow underneath the battery.
Let it sit for one minute, allowing the alcohol to soften the adhesive.
Insert the opening pick with long edge facing down at the bottom edge of the battery, and gently pry apart the adhesive.
Place a long-handled opening pick at the top edge between the battery and logic board.
Attach a suction cup to the center of the base battery.
Apply strong, steady force while pulling up on the suction cup with one hand.
Put the back cover onto the frame to shield the internal components when accessing the opposite side of the phone.
Apply a suction cup near the center of the bottom edge.
Badly cracked screens may require additional preparation, such as covering with clear packing tape or using very strong tape instead.
As a last resort, superglue can be used to secure the suction cup.
Do not insert the opening pick deeper than 3 mm, or risk damaging internal components.
Position the pick at the top right corner of the screen.
Position your pick along the left edge and slide it around the bottom left corner, working to separate any remaining adhesive.
Do not fully detach the screen yet as it is still linked by a cable.
Lift the left edge of the screen and swing it over the right edge of the phone in a book-like motion.
Use your suction handle or a sturdy object to prop up the screen securely.
Keep track of each screw for reassembly.
Use a Torx Plus 3IP driver to remove the display cable bracket's three securing screws:
Use the pointed end of a spudger to carefully pry up the display bracket.
Risk of damage: do not touch other areas of the logic board when prying connectors.
Disconnect the screen from the frame.
Use the pointed end of a spudger to carefully pry up and release the flip battery press connector.
Wrap tweezers with black pull tab from stretch release adhesive.
Hold the phone by its edges, avoiding the battery.
If the strip breaks, attempt to retrieve it using fingers or tweezers, then continue pulling.
Do not pry under the battery. If a strip cannot be retrieved, remove as much adhesive as possible and proceed with the alternate method.
Heating the inner screen for more than 30 seconds can cause permanent damage.
Use finger stalls to improve grip on the pull tabs if needed.
Hold the bottom right pull tab in place.
Hold the pull tab at the bottom right corner and rotate the flip battery until it aligns with the right edge.
Adjust the jacket to ensure it is centered and resting on the battery's bottom edge.
Slide the jacket towards the top edge of the battery to separate the remaining adhesive.
If having significant difficulty or risk of damaging the battery, follow alternate method below.
Apply isopropyl alcohol (95% or higher) to the underside of the flip battery's bottom edge.
Insert the opening pick, long edge down, at the bottom edge of the battery.
Secure the phone with one hand using a firm grip.
Reassembly process begins now.
Remove old flip battery adhesive using tweezers or your fingers.
Verify that the flip battery adhesive matches the dimensions of the cutout in the frame.
Remove the main flip battery adhesive sheet from its clear liner.
Take extra care when handling the adhesive to avoid incorrect placement.
Press down the individual adhesive strips using the flat end of a spudger or your fingers.
Make sure the strips are firmly attached to avoid any damage.
Careful handling is required during this step, as incorrect placement of adhesive can occur.
Press down the adhesive strip with the flat end of a spudger or your fingers until it adheres to the frame.
Remove the blue liner using a pair of tweezers from under the black pull tab.
Remove the blue liner from the secondary flip battery adhesive strip using tweezers.
Remove the large blue liner using your fingers or a pair of tweezers.
The flip battery jacket must match the size and shape of the frame's cutout.
Ensure the clear liner faces towards the .
Remove the flip battery jacket from its clear liner.
Press the jacket firmly onto the using the flat end of a spudger or your fingers.
Remove the blue liner from the flip battery jacket using your fingers or a pair of tweezers.
Careful alignment is crucial to avoid misadhesive.
Press down along the perimeter of the flip battery to secure it to the frame.
Allow the phone to sit undisturbed for at least 1 hour to allow the adhesive to fully cure.
Reconnect the flip battery press connector.
Support the screen with your hand or a stable object.
Align the display bracket with its designated mounting point on the frame.
Press the display bracket with the tip of a spudger, guiding its clip under the bottom edge of the frame.
Install the display cable bracket using a Torx Plus 3IP driver.
Grasp the pull tab on the secondary liner with a pair of tweezers.
Remove the protective liner along the left and top edges of the phone.
Hold the screen above the frame, then carefully peel the liner off the right and bottom edges to reveal the adhesive.
Position the outer screen over the frame, ensuring proper alignment.
Press the screen firmly into its designated area until secure.
Remove the back cover from the frame.
Do not touch the adhesive - risk of skin irritation.
Verify the base battery adhesive size matches the cutout in the frame.
Careful alignment is crucial to avoid adhesive misplacement.
Press down adhesive strips with flat spudger or finger tips.
Remove and discard the colored liner.
Position the new base battery against the top edge of its recess.
Press the battery firmly into place.
Press the battery firmly onto the phone frame using your fingers.
Wait at least one hour for the adhesive to fully cure before using the phone.
Reconnect the base battery press connector.
Slide the vibrator's left edge into its clip using a pair of tweezers.
Peel the clear liner from the top half of the graphite sheet.
Press down the upper half of the graphite sheet using the flat end of a spudger or your finger.
Remove the blue liner from the underside of the graphite sheet.
Use a spudger or your finger to apply pressure from the middle section of the graphite sheet, pressing down towards the adhesive section covering the loudspeaker.
Remove the blue liners at the top of the graphite sheet.
Hold the pull tab firmly at the top of the graphite sheet and remove the remaining liner.
Remove the clear liner from the G5 sticker.
Remove the blue liner from the G5 sticker.
Reconnect the back cover cable while the back cover is held in place.
Secure the top bracket to the frame.
Push the bracket upwards using a spudger or your finger, guiding its clip under the top edge of the frame.
Remove the pull tab from the top right corner.
Be gentle to avoid damaging the surrounding area.
Remove the liner from the right and bottom edges of the frame.
Hold the back cover in place over the frame.
Align the back cover over the frame. Press it firmly into position.
Press the back cover along the perimeter to secure it.
