Asus ZenFone 5 Lite Vibration Motor Replacement

Use a thin plastic tool to pry open the back cover.

• Pry one edge, then slide around the edges to release adhesive.
• Lift off the cover once all edges are disconnected.

Keep the cover and phone close together to avoid damaging the connecting band between touch sensor and motherboard.

• Remove the seven Phillips #0 screws from the bottom of the phone.
• The one screw with a white "CS" sticker on it can be removed while attached; pierce through the sticker with the screwdriver and unscrew as normal.

• Remove the lower cover with a nylon spudger, assisted by an opening tool.

Locate and carefully remove the connection under the black cover using a prying tool.

Hold down the charging port circuit board with one finger to prevent damage during removal.

• Use a gentle prying motion with your prying tool to avoid damaging the connection.

Locate the gold-tipped black wire connected to the charging port circuit board.

• Use a plastic prying tool to insert underneath the silver clasp.
• Pry the silver clasp off.

Insert a plastic prying tool on the left side of the charging port.

• Gently lift up the charging port.
• Remove it using your hand.

Locate the vibration motor, a circular metallic piece situated at the bottom right of the phone.

• Using a plastic spudger, pry up the vibration motor from the top right starting point.
• Be prepared to apply some force, as the motor is held in place with adhesive.
