ASUS ZENFONE 3 Zoom Volume/Power Buttons Replacement
To access and remove the volume buttons and power button from the Asus ZenFone Zoom 3, you'll first need to take off the back of the phone.
Step 1 | Volume/Power Buttons
Remove the SIM card tray using the SIM ejector tool provided with the iFixit repair kit.
Step 2
Use the T2 screwdriver to remove the 3.5 mm screws located on either side of the charging port at the bottom of the phone.
Step 3
Use the opening tool to gently pry apart the screen from the plastic body.
Step 4
Use angled tweezers to carefully extract the power/volume buttons from within the phone's interior.
Step 5
The goal is to isolate the volume and power buttons from the back casing of the device.
- Remove the screws that secure the buttons to the casing.
- Gently pry the buttons away from the casing using a plastic spudger.
