Asus Zenfone 3 Max Battery Replacement

Potential for damaging other parts if replacement is done carelessly.

Ensure device battery is malfunctioning or damaged before proceeding.
Remove phone battery, taking great care to avoid damage to surrounding components.
Before installation, verify new battery is not swollen and take necessary precautions if required.

Step 1 | Back cover

Use a iFixit opening tool to carefully insert it between the phone and back casing.

Pry the back off by moving the tool up and down.

Step 2

Apply the new cover to the back of the phone using moderate even pressure.

Step 3 | Battery

Disconnect the gold connection cable indicated by the red circle in the image.

Pull back on the black adhesive tab at the top of the battery.
Tab removal is marked with an orange circle in the corresponding picture.

The battery can now be removed once these components are disconnected.

Step 4

Locate and gently pull the blue removal tab situated at the bottom of the device.

Remove the existing device battery.
