ASUS PadFone X Vibration Motor Replacement
- Remove the back cover.
- Next, remove the secondary back panel.
- The motherboard is now exposed; proceed to replace the vibration motor.
Step 1 | Vibration Motor
Insert the blue plastic opening tool into the crease between the back cover and the phone.
- Pry upwards to loosen the back cover.
- Repeat this process around the phone until the entire back cover is loose.
Step 2
Use a screwdriver with a Torx T5 bit to remove the 13 x small 3.6 mm screws.
Step 3
- Insert the blue plastic opening tool into the crease between the mid-frame and the phone.
- Pry upwards to loosen the back cover, working around the entire phone until it is loose.
- Remove the mid-frame.
Step 4
Use a spudger to carefully pry the vibration motor connector loose from the motherboard.
Step 5
Use a spudger to gently pry the vibration motor upward.
Forcing may be required due to strong adhesive holding the vibration motor in place.
