ASUS PadFone X Speaker Replacement
- Your ASUS PadFone X's speaker is not functioning, preventing music and speakerphone usage.
If your device has water damage, stop immediately and consult a professional repair service.
Step 1 | Speaker
Use a blue plastic opening tool to pry off the back cover.
This may require a moderate amount of force.
Step 2
Use a T5 Torx Screwdriver to remove the thirteen 3.6mm screws.
Step 3
Remove the screws holding the mid-frame in place.
- Lift the mid-frame away from the phone.
- The speaker is located on the mid-frame.
Step 4
Remove the speaker using a plastic opening tool.
- Pry the speaker from its mounting position.
- Once removed, lift the speaker out of the mid-frame.
