Asus Padfone X Mini Screen Replacement

The phone's bottom right side corner has a groove. Use a plastic opening tool to lift it and remove the outside cover.

Do not confuse this with the cover that has the speaker attached.

Remove the battery from the top compartment.

Locate the 10 T5 Torx screws around the device's perimeter.

• Use a T5 Torx driver to remove these screws (2 mm head).
• Once cleared, carefully lift off the cover.

Turn the Cover over.

• The Speaker is attached to the inside of the cover, located to the right of the camera hole.

Use standard tweezers to carefully remove the speaker.

• Replace the speaker with a new one after removal.

Locate and grasp the black connector on the left-hand side of the motherboard.

• Gently pull the black connector towards you to release its retaining clip.
• Stop at this point – do not completely remove the black connector.

Locate and disconnect the silver connector from the motherboard.

• The connector is situated on the left-hand side, above the black connector.
• Remove the silver connector to proceed.

• Disconnect all cables from the motherboard.
• Remove the motherboard by releasing the retaining screws.

Install a new screen, ensuring it is securely fastened in place.
