Asus Padfone X Mini Docking Port Replacement

Face the phone downwards.

• Locate the groove on the bottom right corner of the phone.
• Use a plastic opening tool to gently lift the outer casing.

Remove the battery.

Remove the 10 perimeter screws from the phone.

• Set aside the removed screws in a safe place.
• Use a firm grip to lift off the cover.

Do not tear off the black strip, as it may be needed for reconnection.

• Use tweezers to carefully pry up the black strip on the left side of the motherboard.
• Identify the motherboard as the green board on the side with the screen.
• Disconnect the black strip only from the motherboard, without removing it entirely.

Locate and remove the gold flap on the left side of the motherboard.

• Disconnect the docking port from the motherboard.
• Remove and replace the entire motherboard assembly, as the docking port is integrated into this component.
