Asus PadFone S Rear Facing Camera Replacement
This repair guide removes the back camera from an Asus PadFone S. It consists of 3 steps that demand precision and patience. Replacing a broken or damaged back camera can be easily done with this guide, restoring your phone's functionality. Ensure you have necessary tools beforehand.
Step 1 | Remove Back Cover
Prying the back cover may damage it or other internal components.
- Place your thumb in the charging port and pry the back cover off the phone.
- Continue to separate the cover all the way around the sides of the phone.
Step 2 | Remove Back Panel
Remove all T5 Torx screws from the back panel.
Be careful when lifting the back panel as it may be fragile.
- Lift the back panel off to expose the logic board and battery.
Step 3 | Remove Back Camera
Locate the back camera on the top-left side of the logic board.
- Use tweezers to lift the back camera strip away from the logic board.
- Lift the back camera out of its housing.
The logic board does not need to be removed for this procedure.
