Asus Padfone 2 Camera Replacement
Step 1 | Power Down Device
Press and hold the power button until the device is shut off.
Step 2 | Remove Back Plate
Remove the back cover with a plastic opening tool.
Step 3 | Battery Removal
Avoid damaging the battery or connecting cord.
- Remove the warning sticker covering the battery plug and cord.
- Identify the widest gap on either side of the battery and carefully lift it out using a plastic opening tool.
- Disconnect the battery cord from its connector using tweezers.
Step 4 | Remove Internal Back Plate
Remove the internal back plate using a T5 Torx screwdriver.
- Take care to keep track of the 14 screws; consider using a magnetic pad for assistance.
- Once all screws are removed, carefully lift and set aside the back plate.
Step 5 | Disconnect Motherboard
Use tweezers to disconnect four plugs from the motherboard.
- Lift up the green motherboard.
Step 6 | Removing Camera
Use tweezers to carefully remove the camera module located at the back of the motherboard.
