Asus Padfone 2 A68 Sub Cables Replacement
Step 1 | Power Down Device
Press and hold the power button.
Step 2 | Remove Back Plate
Use a plastic spudger to carefully pry off the phone's cover.
Step 3 | Battery Removal
Do not remove the warning sticker yet.
- Identify the widest gap on either side of the battery.
- Lift out the battery using a plastic opening tool, taking care to avoid damaging it or its connecting cord.
- The battery is secured with adhesive, so be gentle when handling it.
- Use tweezers to disconnect the battery's connecting cord.
Step 4 | Remove Internal Back Plate
- Remove 14 T5 Torx screws using a magnetic T5 Torx screwdriver.
- Utilize a magnetic pad to keep track of removed screws.
- Once all screws are out, carefully lift the internal back plate off.
Step 5 | Removal of A68 Sub Cables
Unplug sub cables from circuit board and housing using tweezers.
Step 6 | Replacing the A68 Sub Cables
Connect new sub cables to both the circuit board and housing.
