Samsung Galaxy S21 Battery Replacement

Discharge the battery below 25% before disassembling for safety.

  • Carefully inspect your swollen battery, taking necessary precautions if so.
  • Remove the interconnect cables to facilitate easier battery removal and reassembly.

Accidental damage during repair can cause a dangerous thermal event.

You'll need replacement adhesive for this repair.

Step 1 | Heat the bottom edge

Step 1 image

Completely power off your phone before starting.

Do not proceed without a fully powered-down device.

  • Apply heat for 2 minutes to the bottom edge of the back cover using an iOpener or an alternative heat source such as a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate.
  • Beware of overheating: the display and internal battery can be damaged by excessive heat, and the plastic back cover is also vulnerable.

Step 2 | Separate the bottom adhesive
