Remove the stylus cap by grasping it at the top and pulling out of the midframe slot.

Use caution when prying around the volume rocker.

• Pry into the divot next to the rear-facing camera using a plastic opening tool or your finger.

Remove the rear case by lifting it off the phone.

Locate the battery compartment notch and insert your finger.

• Press the battery towards the rear-facing camera.
• Pull the battery outward simultaneously.

• Press the microSD card into its slot with the flat end of a spudger or your fingernail until you hear a click.
• Release the card and it will pop out.
• For reassembly, push the microSD card into the slot until it clicks in place.

Remove the microSD card from its slot in the midframe.

Insert a plastic opening tool or use your fingertip to gently push the SIM card out of its compartment.

• Push the SIM card further out with your thumb until removed.

Remove the nine 3.4 mm Phillips #00 screws securing the midframe to the display assembly.

Insert plastic opening tool between midframe and front panel, to the left of power button.

Be careful not to damage surrounding components during prying.

Slide the plastic opening tool down the seam.

Insert the plastic opening tool left of the headphone jack between the midframe and display assembly.

• Slide the tool along the top edge of the phone.
• Run the tool around the perimeter until the midframe is separated.

Disconnect the midframe clips.

• Slide the display assembly out of the device.
• Separate the midframe from the display assembly.

Remove the three 3 mm Phillips #00 screws.

• Securing the speaker enclosure to the front panel assembly.

Remove speaker enclosure from the display assembly.
