This repair is for installing a new front-facing camera assembly on a Samsung Galaxy Note device.
Grasp the stylus cap and pull it out of its position in the midframe.
Use a plastic opening tool, or carefully insert your fingertip, into the recess to the right of the rear-facing camera.
Remove the rear case by lifting it off the phone.
Insert finger into the notch on the battery compartment.
Press the microSD card gently with a spudger or fingernail to seat it fully.
Be cautious not to push too hard, which can damage the slot.
For reassembly:
Locate and remove the microSD card from its slot on the midframe.
Push the SIM card out of its compartment using a plastic opening tool or your fingertip.
Remove nine 3.4 mm Phillips #00 screws that secure the midframe to the display assembly.
Insert the plastic opening tool to the left of the power button, between the midframe and the front panel assembly.
Insert the plastic opening tool along the seam.
Insert plastic opening tool to the left of headphone jack.
Remove the midframe from the display assembly.
Use the flat end of a spudger to disconnect the headphone jack/earpiece speaker assembly cable connector.
Remove the two 3 mm Phillips #00 screws securing the upper display assembly bracket.
Remove the upper display assembly bracket using a pair of tweezers, or your fingers.
Use tweezers or your fingers to carefully remove the front-facing camera assembly.
