This guide will help you replace the front panel display assembly on your Samsung Galaxy Note.
Remove the stylus cap from the midframe by grasping it and pulling it out.
Insert a plastic opening tool or your fingertip into the recess located to the right of the rear-facing camera, close to the volume control.
Remove rear case by lifting it off.
Locate the battery compartment's notch and insert a finger.
Press the microSD card firmly into its slot using the flat end of a spudger or your fingernail.
The microSD card may be difficult to remove after it has clicked into place.
Release the microSD card from its slot on the midframe.
Push the SIM card out of its compartment with the tip of a plastic opening tool or your fingertip.
Insert a plastic opening tool between the midframe and front panel assembly, left of the power button.
Insert the plastic opening tool along the edge of the device.
Insert a plastic opening tool to the left of the headphone jack between the midframe and display assembly.
Remove midframe from display assembly.
Disconnect the display cable using the flat side of a spudger.
Use a flat-end spudger to carefully disconnect the soft button cable connector.
Remove the two 3.4mm Phillips #00 screws securing the motherboard.
Disconnect the motherboard connectors to release the motherboard.
Remove the 2 x 3 mm Phillips #00 screws from the upper display assembly bracket.
Remove the upper display assembly bracket using either a pair of tweezers or your fingers.
Remove the front-facing camera assembly with tweezers or your fingers.
Position the tipped end of a spudger at the edge of the headphone jack/earpiece speaker assembly.
Pry the assembly gently outward from the display assembly.
Remove the headphone jack/earpiece speaker assembly using a pair of tweezers or your bare fingers.
Remove three 3 mm Phillips #00 screws from the speaker enclosure.
Remove the speaker enclosure from the display assembly.
Insert the flat edge of a spudger at a shallow angle under the USB board, separating it from the display assembly.
Disconnect the USB board from the main circuitry.
Insert the spudger tip under the vibrator connector cable near its contacts, and slide it towards the vibrator.
Insert flat-end spudger under vibrator connector cable.
Disconnect the vibrator from the display assembly.
