To guarantee proper alignment during reassembly, position the motherboard's edge so that it rests beneath the designated standoff, as indicated by the circle; failure to do so will prevent the screws from threading correctly.
Confirm the tiny rubber spacer, which is affixed to the motherboard's upper surface, is correctly positioned during reassembly.
Absence of this component risks damage to the surrounding ribbon cables on the motherboard.

Because a cracked glass panel—a common condition during replacement—is prone to flexing and releasing tiny glass fragments when detached, apply clear tape across the front surface as a precaution. To contain these fragments, conduct the panel removal process directly above a trash receptacle, and wear safety glasses.
