How to verify Apple MagSafe Battery Pack firmware version

To confirm the authenticity of a MagSafe Battery Pack and its specific model and software version, access the iOS Settings application.

Step 1 | Attach the Battery Pack to the iPhone

Align the magnetic edges of the MagSafe Battery Pack with the corresponding magnets on the iPhone's rear surface to secure it in place.
Align the Apple logo on the MagSafe Battery Pack with the Apple logo on your iPhone; this visual cue assists with proper placement.
The Battery Pack's charge level is reflected by the LED indicator, which will display a green light for a full charge and an amber light for a partial charge.

Step 2 | Indications of the Battery Pack

A notification will display on the screen confirming the Battery Pack is detected, and will include the following information.
The iPhone's battery status is indicated by both a visual icon and a numerical percentage representing its remaining capacity.
Observe the Battery Pack's indicator icon to determine its current state of charge.
A charging indicator will appear on the screen, confirming power is being received by the device.
The Battery Pack's charge status is displayed on the home screen via Battery widgets, which also show whether the pack is currently receiving power, such as through a cable connection or reverse charging.

Step 3 | Check the Battery Pack in Settings

Access the device's configuration menu.
Navigate to the General section of the menu and select it by clicking.
Locate the "About" option and select it.
Navigate to the Wireless settings area, locating the MagSafe Battery Pack entry (compatible with iOS 16.5), then select it.
Wireless charging at 7.5W, when the device is disconnected from power, is supported with firmware version 2.7.b.0 and subsequent releases; the model number and firmware version are shown.
